Nashville Adventure 2012

Nashville Adventure 2012

On Friday, I returned to Boston after being in Nashville for one outrageously incredible week. Along with 120 other songwriting students, I took a twenty-two hour bus ride down to Tennessee. My eyes were glued to the window for nearly the whole ride as I took in this part of the country for the first time.

Tennessee from the bus window.

We got to sunny Music City just as the cherry-blossoms bloomed. We met prolific songwriters, great players and producers, and had late night jam sessions on the streets. Somehow, we squeezed five people into our two-bed motel room and ate a lot of peanut-butter sandwiches — definitely created some “good old days.”

I’ve never been to a city where music is such a part of the air, and I just might have to call it home some day. Too damn cool.
